Joe kicks off this week's show with an honest, uncensored review of the movie, "Creed 2". He then moves into the "training" portion of the podcast where he provides his blueprint for improving chin-up performance and then answers a very uniquely-asked question about "training longevity".

This week's show gets off to a rough start when Joe can't figure out how to properly use his new recording equipment. (Thankfully, he still had his old equipment so he reverted back to that.) After addressing the audio issue - Joe, Ashley, George & Lucy gather around the dinner table to answer YOUR questions! Topics of conversation include: Getting into fights on Black Friday; What George D. DOESN'T like about his; Ashley's first meeting with Joe's parents; Favorite Thanksgiving Day foods; Joe's most embarrassing moments...and Much MORE!

Reese Hoffa flew from Georgia to New Jersey (just for the DAY) to appear on this week's Industrial Strength Show! You won't find too many people with this level of commitment and dedication, but then again, Reese Hoffa isn't your "average" human being. He's a 3X Olympian (Shot Put), bronze medalist in the 2012 Olympics, 2X world champion, and ranked Top 3 in the world for 10 consecutive years! But, if you think Reese's physical strength and athletic accomplishments are the most impressive things about him, you're wrong! Reese has one of the most incredible 'life stories' you will ever hear. In fact, at one point in the podcast, Reese's story had Joe D. at a loss for words (and that never happens lol).
Besides hearing Reese's childhood story - other topics of discussion include: The exercises that Reese feels had the highest carryover to the Shot Put; Life after the Olympic games (Does anything compare?); The coping mechanisms Reese used to help him get through his toughest times; The "Forge" (body tempering tool) that Reese co-created...and Much MORE!

Joe kicks off the podcast by thanking everyone for the overwhelming response to last week's show. He then announces this month's CPPS Level 2 certification course (which somehow segues into a discussion about his favorite gangster movie scene). You can't make this stuff up lol!

For the remainder of the show, Joe shares his thoughts on young athletes who specialize in one sport too soon. This discussion includes: The role of the parents; What kids should be doing from the ages of 6-12; The best age to start "specializing"; The importance of working an "off-season" into the yearly plan; Joe's message to "crazy parents"...and Much MORE!

This week Joe receives an email from a personal trainer who is frustrated with his clientele's lack of motivation and constant complaining. He wants to transition from working with unmotivated "general population" clients to self-motivated athletes - so he asks for Joe's advice. This leads to a classic "Joe D. rant" on the personal training industry. Topics of the rant include: Why Joe is embarrassed to call himself a "personal trainer"; The #1 mistake personal trainers make with new clients (and what they SHOULD be doing instead); How to get your clients excited about training with you; The difference between "working out" vs "training"; Consistency vs Intensity; The importance of getting into a "flow state" when training...and Much MORE!
